I'm an active game reviewer for websites like WWGDB and MMOSquare, but I've decided to branch out and do my own thing on the side. That's when I started TheMidcoreGamer, a game review/curation network that covers games that may appeal to core/midcore players.
Currently, I'm primarily a Steam curator, since the written word is still my forte, but I like to couple my reviews with unedited gameplay videos so my readers would be able to see the game in action as well. In fact, I do stream pretty frequently on either YT Live or Twitch - at least once per day.
I'm also more inclined towards reviewing indie games, mainly because I interviewed/talked to enough indie developers to know that creating your own game either by yourself or with a small team is tough, and I'd like to do my part to help get the game out there to anyone who's interested. But of course, I don't mind covering triple A stuff and everything in between now and then.
